An Investment or Portfolio Analyst advises individuals and companies about investments. Typically works with a collection of investments called a portfolio, though can also advise clients about individual investments. Studies trends that impact investments and writes reports regarding economic and business changes and activities that affect the value of investments. Can also be involved in the selling of investments, such as stocks. Works mainly in investment firms, though can also be employed in lending institutions, corporate finance departments, banks or insurance companies.

Job Description
ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with the Director of Public Manager Research to execute the strategic plan relating to manager research efforts and expand the offering to fulfill everchanging needs of Monetas advisor teams and clients.
Serves as a key communicator to the firm as it pertains to public investments, including fund research, asset class research, education, and content production.
Assists/coaches/mentors fellow research analysts and guides their efforts toward meeting end goals for clients, partner teams and/or EST in a timely and productive manner.
Serve as a subject matter expert to support the Partner teams in their explanation, analysis, and/or responses to client questions and demands.
Supports advisors and clients with complex investment portfolio questions, needs and scenarios.
Proactively identifies, recommends and monitors his/her specific recommended public markets manager coverage according to Moneta's overarching investment philosophy and the Investment teams research objectives.
Contributes to efforts to develop and enhance the Investment Departments workflow processes to achieve more scalability of solutions, meet clients evolving demands and enhance our product offering to advisor teams.
Provides regular internal content to keep advisors and clients informed on manager updates, commentary, and performance.
Partners with senior EST staff to implement best practices in analysis, processes or technology that enhance service excellence and champions process innovations that elevate the overall experience for Partner teams and clients. QualificationsBachelors degree in Finance, Economics or related concentration requiredMasters degree, MBA, or CFA is preferredBroad and deep understanding of mutual funds, exchange traded funds, separately managed accounts, and brokerage/bank administration procedures7-10 years investment industry experience requiredStrong knowledge of the investing world and passion for marketsBloomberg and Morningstar Direct experience strongly preferredProficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools, such as Outlook, Work, PowerPoint, and Excel, is requiredExcellent analytical and quantitative skillsAbility to multi-task and meet deadlinesExcellent oral and written communication skills are essentialExperience presenting complex concepts and materials to a broad range of sophistication levelsComfortable working independently in a fast-paced environmentExperience using AI tools to improve research efficiencyMoneta is a fiduciary fee-only Registered Investment Advisory firm and is unable to hold securities licenses with the exception of Series 65.
