The Analyst, Finance Business Partner will help connect our strategy to our financial objectives by supporting the Program Controls, Operations, and Modernization division within Technology. This includes supporting monthly expense forecasting, month end close, variance analysis, staffing planning, reporting, and daily engagement with various stakeholder across the business, Finance, People and Capability, and Sourcing. This role will also provide an opportunity to rotate across various division within Technology to broaden exposure to multiple areas of the business Role Provide divisional financial reporting, identify financial risks & opportunities, and provide guidance to achieve financial targets for assigned division(s) Support the financial close process through the analysis of P&L variances against budget, forecasts, prior year actuals, key business drivers, and initiatives Deliver monthly expense forecast across entire P&L for assigned division(s), and present financials to senior management Maintain staffing plans and drive conversations with business on hiring timing, affordability, capacity, and tracking Support negotiations, alongside business and sourcing, renewals or new contractual spend for 3rd party services or technology solutions Contributes to special projects and performs various ad-hoc reporting or analysis as needed with a strong customer service focus. Participates in development and implementation of process improvements to improve operational controls/efficiency and quality of output All About You Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and work experience in a financial analysis role Advanced degree (MBA, Master's) or professional certification (CMA, CPA) a plus Must be able to adhere to the company's hybrid in office work policy Self-motivated with a track record of delivering success while operating in a team environment Must be comfortable working with ambiguous processes in a fluid environment, managing multiple priorities and assignments concurrently Strong communication skills and ability to interact, communicate, influence and navigate effectively with business teams Strong relationship management and networking skills Strong proficiency using MS suite of products Excel/Office/PowerPoint and enterprise ERP/Planning systems Proficiency using Power BI, Power Automate, or low code tools a plus Mastercard is a merit-based, inclusive, equal opportunity employer that considers applicants without regard to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disabled or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
