Regulatory Rates Analyst•Hybrid Genesis10 life insurance, 401(k) United States, Jersey, Holmdel May 19, 2026 Genesis10 is currently seeking a Regulatory Rates Analyst•Hybrid (4 days onsite) position with a Major Utility Company located in Holmdel or Morristown, NJ. This is a 9+ month contract opportunity.
Pay Range:
$50.00•$60.00 per hour This role supports the Rates and Regulatory Affairs organization in the preparation, analysis, and execution of regulatory filings, rate designs, and compliance activities. The Analyst will work closely with internal stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Operations to support regulatory initiatives and respond to information requests. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced regulatory environment.Responsibilities:
Support the development of rate cases, cost recovery mechanisms, riders, and other regulatory filings through financial analysis, data validation, and documentation preparation Perform studies, revenue requirement analyses, and rate impact calculations Assist in the preparation and maintenance of tariffs, schedules, and supporting workpapers Compile, analyze, and validate large datasets from Accounting, FP&A, Operations, and other systems Prepare draft testimony, exhibits, schedules, and narratives for regulatory proceedings Coordinate responses to discovery requests and information inquiries from regulators and other parties Monitor regulatory orders, filings, and policy developments and summarize impacts Support regulatory reporting, tracking of filing obligations, and implementation of approved rate changes Assist with ad hoc analyses and special projects related to rates, revenues, or regulatory initiativesRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field 3-7 years of experience in utility rates, regulatory support, financial analysis, or a related analytical role Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data accurately Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with regulatory models and large datasets Ability to clearly document analyses and communicate technical information Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams Rate experience within the utility industry Desired skills: Familiarity with utility ratemaking principles, cost of service concepts, and regulatory processes Experience supporting rate cases Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
