$25 - $29 per hour Position Overview The Junior Financial Analyst is an integral member of the Finance & Accounting team, supporting the organization's financial operations through accounting, payroll, accounts receivable analysis, and financial reporting activities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for early-career finance professionals to develop a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis while gaining exposure to budgeting, reporting, and organizational financial performance across multiple entities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow their expertise in financial management, accounting processes, and data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities Perform daily accounting and bookkeeping activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Assist with payroll auditing, reporting, and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support accounts receivable tracking, reconciliations, collections analysis, and aging reports. Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and supporting schedules. Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Review financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement. Support budget preparation, forecasting activities, and financial planning initiatives. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and accounting standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support reporting needs. Perform special projects and other finance-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of one (1) year of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or related professional experience. Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, and reporting functions. Strong numerical aptitude with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze financial data and present findings clearly and effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with payroll processing, accounts receivable, or financial reporting. Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, or financial management platforms. Internship or professional experience in finance, accounting, or auditing environments.
