Finance Intern

Haugland Group, a privately owned Long Island, New York-based civil infrastructure and energy construction company, is accepting applications for our Summer 2026 Internship Program. The Finance Intern will support the finance team with financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting activities. This role offers hands-on experience in financial planning, data analysis, and business decision support, providing exposure to real-world financial operations and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and monthly/quarterly reports by collecting data and preparing basic analyses Analyze historical financial data to identify trends and assist with business planning insights Help build, update, and maintain financial models and reports used for decision-making Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data gathering, special projects, and ad hoc financial analysis Desired Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting Basic understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) Strong analytical and quantitative skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with financial modeling or forecasting concepts preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks This is a paid internship. Compensation is $19 per hour.
