Job Description

The Financial Analyst/Database Coordinator formulates and maintains the hospital's Charge Description Master (CDM) in order to optimize revenue generation, maintain compliance with third party payer requirements, as well as governmental billing regulations. Responsibilities include ensuring that all items and services such as procedures, evaluations, supplies and pharmaceuticals are described, coded and in compliance with regulatory standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Associate's degree in Business or Healthcare field required. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of database experience in a healthcare setting. Experience with Cerner/Soarian Financials, Millennium, Med Series 4 preferred. Proficient Excel skills. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
Process CDM additions and changes, in compliance with local, state, and federal agencies. Monitors supply costs and maintain pricing database Provide education and guidance to clinical departments to insure appropriate charge capture Assist in developing and maintaining CDM related policies and procedures. Participates in Revenue Integrity audits Monitor and identify any changes in billing practices or payer regulations that necessitate changes in the CDM. Monitor and assess potential revenue impacts resulting from regulatory issues. Perform other related duties as assigned. Complete required training as assigned. Responds promptly to customer requests, provide excellent customer service and collaborates with other departments throughout the organization. Adheres to patient privacy policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality. Salary Range:
$24.75-$36.53 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
