Field Financial Analyst (Line Shop)#26-09389 Akron, OH Onsite Contract Starts 9/21/2026 Ends 12/31/2026 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Field Financial Analyst (Line Shop) for a hybrid position with a Major Utility Company located in Toledo, Akron, or Cleveland, OH. This is a contract to hire opportunity. This position is fully onsite with occasional travel (fully reimbursed).
Compensation:
$50.00 - $60.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications
Position Overview:
This role focuses on helping a line shops achieve capitalization targets through targeted field visits and financial reviews. The ideal candidate will travel to various shops and service centers to meet with managers and review financials, providing real-time guidance on capitalization decisions. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to translate accounting policies into understandable operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct targeted field visits to shops and service centers with lower capitalization rates Work with business services and operations teams during shop reviews to understand local practices, identify inconsistencies, and provide real-time guidance on capitalization decisions Evaluate whether reporting and dashboards can be streamlined to help supervisors more effectively review and manage time charging and capitalization performance Develop or refresh accounting policy playbooks and guidance documents, translating accounting language to easy-to-understand operations tasks Provide targeted training for line supervisors, shop personnel, and business services teams to reinforce expectations Conduct joint accounting policy and engineering reviews of standard design requirements Evaluate existing tools and processes related to time charging for opportunities for improvement
Primary Requirements:
Experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field within an operational setting Must befortable asking questions about financial performance and time charging Ability to travel around Northeast Ohio to various line shops and service centers Strong understanding of capitalization targets and financial review processes Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
