Job Description
Overview:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data with precision and efficiency. This role involves inputting, processing, and analyzing bookkeeping data to ensure accurate financial records. The analyst will work closely with internal teams to deliver actionable insights based on data trends. The position focuses on back-office operations and is not customer-facing, allowing the analyst to concentrate on internal processing of data and financial reporting. This position will report to the Bookkeeping Services Manager.Key Responsibilities:
Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the bookkeeping system. Analyze financial data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare statement generators based on collected data. Monitor and reconcile accounts, including bank reconciliations and credit cards. Identify trends, anomalies, and discrepancies in financial data and report findings to relevant internal departments. Assist customer success managers with month-end close processes. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline data management and reporting processes. Utilize software tools like Xero, Excel, Great Plains for data analysis and reporting. Continuously work on improving the efficiency and accuracy of the bookkeeping process through data-driven insights. All other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, Economics or a related field 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client management. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
