Job Description

What We're Looking For:
Lubrizol is currently seeking candidates to become Finance Analysts participating in our Finance Development Program. This program is designed to provide recent graduates or early-career professionals with structured learning and development experience in the field of finance, offering a unique opportunity for candidates to gain hands-on experience while developing a strong foundation in finance in our organization. Throughout the program, participants will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and build a strong working network. The programs spans three years and includes two 18-month rotations, giving participants the opportunity to gain experience in different finance roles across various departments based on business needs, including:
Corporate Finance Operations Finance Commercial Finance What You'll Do:
General Accounting Record journal entries as part of the monthly close, including but not limited to recurring journals, shared profit center reclasses, etc. Handle all activities pertaining to the domestic holding companies, including journals posting, trial balance review and BPC upload, etc. Perform account reconciliations and analyses Consolidation Perform entity trial balance reasonability testing, upload entities and post consolidated journal entries Prepare monthly schedules Prepare quarterly schedules for external reporting by Berkshire Hathaway Management Reporting Cost center assistance - master data and matrix GRIR freight reconciliations Post-close system tie-outs Financial Reporting Monthly financial statement preparation, review, and tie-outs Quarterly Berkshire schedule preparation, review, and tie-outs Assist with lease accounting and learn Visual Lease Assist with finance policy updates, including technical research Skills That Make a
Difference:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required. Those graduating in Dec 2026 or Spring 2027 are welcome to apply. 6+ months of relevant accounting or finance experience preferred, including internships. Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills required. Proficiency in SAP, BOBJ, SharePoint, or Power BI functions is a plus! Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-starter mentality with the willingness to take initiative Process improvement mindset
