Financial/Reporting Analyst

Role Summary This position is responsible for analyzing and assessing the financial health of an organization to support sound decision-making and strategic planning. The role involves reviewing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights for improving fiscal performance. It is a mid-level position requiring strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles, with a focus on enhancing financial processes and compliance. Responsibilities Review, analyze, and present financial data to management. Prepare financial reports, projections, and dashboards based on data analysis. Evaluate current and historical financial information to identify trends and variances. Provide recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial efficiency. Track financial performance by comparing results with forecasts and budgets. Establish benchmarks for financial processes and reporting standards. Reconcile transactions and correct discrepancies within financial systems. Assist in preparing the organization's annual budget. Support the development of financial reporting documentation for state and federal agencies. Collaborate with the grants department to review budgets and ensure proper documentation for reporting and compliance purposes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related roles. Proven experience with financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and governmental accounting standards. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Publishing Pay Range:

$35.00 - $40.00 hourly
