Morgan Stanley Investment Management strives to provide strong long-term investment performance, outstanding service, and a comprehensive suite of investment management solutions to a diverse client base, including governments, institutions, corporations, and individuals worldwide General Description The Investment Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program starting in June. The program consists of one week of training in New York, NY and nine weeks working within a specific IM team that is based out of the office in Boston, MA. Across all IM teams, the curriculum is designed to equip Summer Analysts with the fundamental skills they need to be successful in IM. During the 10-week program, Summer Analysts experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley by performing a role similar to a Full-Time Analyst. This role within Eaton Vance Equity, part of the MSIM Active Fundamental Equity group, will work directly with portfolio managers and analysts on research projects throughout the summer. Primary Responsibilities Support portfolio managers and equity analysts in their daily work. Provide basic research as needed on sectors, industries, and companies Attend investment meetings, company meetings, and industry specialist meetings Work on special projects as needed within Eaton Vance Equity Learn to use various market data systems Assist in preparing financial models (including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, and valuation) from data in company filings and other publicly available information Extract specific data needed from financial reports and databases to prepare or update models relating to specific industries and companies followed by analysts Perform additional responsibilities as requested Job Requirements Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028 Strong analytical skills and eagerness to learn Ability to function independently and to collaborate effectively Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently and effectively Detail-oriented, accurate, reliable, proactive Application Process and Deadline In order to be considered, candidates must apply with their resume through the Morgan Stanley website and complete their HireVue digital questionnaire. Expected base pay rates for the role will be $52.89 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
