The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing detailed account support to the financial statement, general ledger closing, cash management and other related functions. Additionally, this individual is responsible for analysis and interpretation of financial data.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepare and input journal entries for posting to the general ledger. Prepare financial statements in a timely and accurate manner. Prepare periodic general ledger account and bank reconciliations and other account analysis Assist community team with accounting-related issues, including review of financial statements and A/R aging balances Provide assistance and ongoing education to team and accounting related functions Prepare and provide support for the cost report preparation process and related audits Provide support for the budget process
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field OR at least two years of general ledger accounting Experience in working with computerized accounting and other systems required. Limited travel may be necessary.
