Job Description

Job Summary Senior Accounting Analyst:
This position serves as a critical piece of the financial reporting and analysis team. The individual in this role will need to work efficiently and independently, as the owner of complex tasks and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a bachelors (or higher) degree in accounting, and/or 3-5 years of prior accounting/finance experience. Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Assist with financial statement preparation and analysis, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies. Review/approve reconciliations prepared by accounting analysts. Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts. Review and approve journal entries prepared by accounting analyst. Conduct variance analysis and prepare financial reports for stakeholders and financial leadership team. Assist in monthly job revenue recognition on contracts in process, understanding of project performance, and associated work-in-process schedules and reports. Collaborate with accounting managers and/or controller on forecasting process, often serving as the primary owner of this initiative. Work closely with the business leaders/key stakeholders of 11400. Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data. Lead process improvement initiatives. Perform ad hoc analyses and reporting as requested.
