Job Description

The Financial Analyst candidate will report to the US Accounting Manager and will be directly responsible for supporting the daily accounting functions of the Electron Microscopy Technologies (EMT) business. This includes responsibility for financial closing, financial reporting, working capital review, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls. This individual must operate with a high degree of autonomy and leadership. Electron Microscopy Technologies (EMT) is the world's leading manufacturer of high-quality instrumentation and software for imaging and analysis in TEM and SEM applications. Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and articulate variances to budget, forecast, and prior periods to support close activities and informed decision-making Assist with the preparation and upload of financial data into the Corporate HFM system; reconcile trial balances to consolidated financial reports Prepare and distribute standard and ad hoc financial reports, including metrics on bookings, revenue, orders, sales, and regional profitability Contribute to monthly forecasting and the annual budgeting process, with a focus on manufacturing expenses and working capital management Support internal and external audit requirements (including SOX compliance) and assist in preparing state and federal tax packages Partner with the Operations Controller and Business Unit Controller on special projects, including process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhanced financial controls Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and operational performance
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
CPA / MBA
preferred 3+ years of related accounting experience (Manufacturing Experience Preferred) Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plus Must be able to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously Proactive and creative, with an action and problem-solving bias with the drive to deliver results Work requires effective oral and written communication skills as well as a strong analytical acumen Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
