Equity Research Analyst - Industrials Global Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund | $10bn+ AUM Our client is a $10bn+ global, multi-strategy hedge fund with a long-standing track record across liquid strategies and a deep, institutional investor base. As part of continued growth, the firm is looking to hire an experienced Buyside Equity Research Analyst to support a highly tenured Industrials Portfolio Manager within a multi-strat pod structure. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly alongside a PM with 10+ years of capital allocation experience across leading multi-manager and multi-strategy environments. Role Overview Research-focused position supporting a senior Industrials PM Day-one responsibility will be fundamental equity research , idea generation, and ongoing coverage maintenance Coverage will focus on one or more of the following subsectors : Industrials Multinationals Machinery Building Products Transportation / Transports Work closely with the PM on idea development, modeling, earnings work, and downside/risk analysis While this is initially a non-risk role , there is clear long-term upside : for the right candidate, the PM is open to introducing risk-taking responsibility over time Candidate Profile Minimum 2 years of buyside equity research experience , ideally within: Long/short equity funds Multi-manager or pod-based platforms Strong fundamental skill set including: Detailed financial modeling Variant perception and catalyst-driven research Experience working in fast-paced, performance-oriented environments Sector experience within Industrials strongly preferred, though coverage can be refined on joining Intellectually curious, commercial, and capable of operating with autonomy alongside a senior PM Compensation & Structure Competitive base salary Uncapped bonus directly linked to pod performance , offering meaningful upside Opportunity to build a long-term track record within a stable, well-capitalized platform Location Location flexible , with New York City the most likely base This role will suit candidates looking to deepen their Industrials expertise , work with a proven PM, and position themselves for greater responsibility and risk ownership over the medium term within a top-tier multi-strategy hedge fund.
