Cost Accounting Analyst Compensation:
$95,000-$100,000/year
Location:
Burlington County, NJ Schedule:
Monday to Friday (Hybrid) Atlantic Group is hiring a Cost Accounting Analyst in Burlington County, NJ for our client. This role supports accounting, financial analysis, inventory reporting, and operational finance within a growing organization. Responsibilities include analyzing financial data, supporting month-end close, maintaining inventory and cost records, preparing financial reports, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve reporting and business performance. The ideal candidate has strong accounting and analytical skills, experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment, and the ability to work collaboratively across finance and operations. Cost Accountant:
Cost Accounting:
Support cost accounting activities, analyze product and manufacturing costs, and maintain accurate cost records and financial data.
Inventory Accounting:
Monitor inventory transactions, reconciliations, and valuation while helping ensure accurate inventory reporting and strong financial controls.
Financial Reporting:
Support month-end close, prepare financial reports, analyze cost trends, and provide insights to support business decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with operations, supply chain, production, and finance teams to improve reporting, costing accuracy, and operational performance.
Planning & Analysis:
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business planning and operational initiatives.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and operational efficiency through process enhancements and system improvements. Qualifications for the
Cost Accountant:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Experience:
3+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
Industry Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, standard costing, inventory management, work-in-process, bills of materials, overhead allocation, and GAAP is required.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems is required. Experience with Acumatica, Netstock, or similar manufacturing ERP platforms is preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, partner with manufacturing operations, communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, and translate operational activity into meaningful financial insights.
