Financial Analyst I Job Description The primary role of a Financial Analyst I is to gather and analyze financial information. This position involves conducting quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs for public or private institutions. As a financial analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information to clients. Responsibilities Assemble spreadsheets and create charts and graphs to illustrate technical reports. Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions for investment decision-making. Interpret data affecting investment programs, including price, yield, stability, and future trends in investment risks. Essential Skills Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking. Ability to work independently and manage one's time efficiently. Basic proficiency in analyzing business trends and projecting future revenues and expenses. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and financial data reporting. Familiarity with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting. Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related financial software. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related financial discipline is required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred. 0-2 years of financial and/or accounting experience. Knowledgeable in Excel, data entry, and communication. Friendly demeanor and good communication skills. Experience in accounting, finance, and financial reporting. Work Environment This role is a contract position with the potential for conversion to a full-time position for the right candidate. The work can be fully remote but requires occasional onsite presence at the office located at 104 Wilmot. The work schedule is 30 hours per week, with 6-hour days. The shift schedule is within the core hours of 8 AM-4 PM, Monday through Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.97 - $27.97/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
