Job Description

Join UPMC Corporate Finance as a Financial Analyst, Senior! Are you ready to dive into the world of finance and make a significant impact? UPMC Corporate Finance is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Analyst, Senior to conduct and document complex financial analysis projects . This role is ideal for someone who thrives on interpreting financial data, mentoring others, and providing strategic insights that drive business decisions. Location & Flexibility You'll have the option to be based at UPMC Altoona, UPMC Somerset, UPMC Bedford, or UPMC Western Maryland . In this role, you'll collaborate across our network, traveling to the other three locations approximately 10%-20% of the time . We also value work-life balance, offering flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret Financial Data:
Analyze and interpret complex financial transactions and events to support strategic decision-making.
Mentorship:
Provide functional advice and training to less experienced financial analysts and administrative staff.
Data Analysis:
Extract and define relevant financial information to assess past performance and forecast future financial outcomes.
Advanced Reporting:
Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
Statistical Analysis:
Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis using data from various financial systems.
Transaction Management:
Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Cost Studies:
Plan and conduct in-depth studies to determine the cost of business activities, and recommend budget adjustments and cost-saving measures. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field required. Minimum of three years of related work experience required. OR High School Diploma/GED and five years of related work experience. Microsoft Office spreadsheet application required, and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
