This role develops and maintains robust financial models, performs detailed variance and trend analyses, and translates complex financial and operational data into actionable insights for leadership. In addition to core financial analysis responsibilities, this role plays a critical part in integrating financial data with contract and grant reporting requirements, including interpreting financial activity, monitoring grant and contract budgets, and incorporating financial results into funder-required reports. The analyst will work closely with accounting, program teams, and leadership to ensure financial data is accurately captured, reconciled, and aligned with reporting and compliance requirements. This position requires a technically strong and highly resourceful professional who is comfortable working with complex datasets and financial systems. The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented problem solver who can quickly understand existing financial processes, build or improve financial models and reporting tools, and deliver high-quality analysis. The successful candidate will be able to ramp up quickly, independently manage complex financial analyses, and leverage data to improve financial transparency, reporting accuracy, and strategic decision-making. As HealthierHere administers government funding, the Senior Financial Analyst role carries an important fiduciary responsibility, approaching financial analysis and reporting with a strong sense of stewardship and accountability, recognizing that every dollar represents resources entrusted to the organization to achieve its mission. The role requires careful oversight of expenditures, thorough financial analyses, and a commitment to ensuring that funds are used appropriately, transparently, and in full compliance with grant and contract requirements. Equally important, this role calls for a collaborative team player who values shared ownership and partnership. The Principal Financial Analyst will work closely with colleagues across finance and program teams, offering support and contributing to move work forward. Success in this role comes from a team‑oriented mindset, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work constructively with others to strengthen the organization's financial operations. Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance dynamic complex financial models which incorporate scenario and sensitivity analysis, and which support forecasting, long-range planning, and strategic decision-making for multiple business lines. Support the development of automated reporting tools and dashboards to enhance financial data visibility and decision-making. Analyze and interpret financial data to support the preparation of funder-required financial reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance with reporting guidelines, and clear alignment between internal financial records and external reporting requirements. Support fiscal and demonstration year budget development and financial planning processes for HealthierHere's business lines Translate complex financial data into clear and concise reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders. Monitor revenue recognition and grant utilization to ensure proactive budget management. Track and analyze restricted funding and program-specific expenditures to ensure proper allocation of costs across grants, contracts, and internal funding sources. Support financial audits or monitoring reviews related to grants and contracts by preparing documentation and responding to auditor or funder inquiries. Ensure compliance with federal and state funding requirements. Financial Processes and Controls Assisting in the identification and development of financial policies and processes to ensure adequate checks and balances and compliance with funding requirements. Support the creation of communications and/or presentations to HealthierHere's partners and internal and external stakeholders regarding financial updates and funding requirements. Coordinate across HealthierHere teams and provide subject matter expertise as needed to ensure alignment of HealthierHere's mission, vision, values, and resources. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in non-profit accounting and/or finance in a healthcare, government, or healthcare-adjacent non-profit organization 8+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis and modeling Demonstrated experience building and maintaining complex financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses Demonstrated experience supporting grant- and contract-funded budgets, including revenue recognition practices, monitoring expenditures, and preparing funder-required financial reports Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state-funded grant reporting and compliance requirements Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, complex formulas, pivot tables, and scenario analysis Strong understanding of financial statements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for decision-makers Strong attention to detail and data accuracy, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, including the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences and take a solutions-oriented approach to problem solving Preferred Qualifications Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or similar 5-7+ years' experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to work with complex datasets Knowledge of and ability to develop financial modeling methodologies and forecasting techniques Knowledge of budget development and financial planning processes Understanding of grant and contract financial management, including cost allowability, restricted funds, and funder-reporting requirements Knowledge of financial reporting standards and internal financial controls Advanced financial modeling and quantitative analysis skills Physical Demands The physical demands of this role include: Perform prolonged periods of sitting or standing while working on a computer or attending virtual and in-person meetings. Engage in repetitive motions such as typing, scrolling, and using a mouse or trackpad. Communicate effectively through verbal and auditory means during video calls, phone calls, and in-person interactions. Perform occasional physical tasks, such as setting up equipment or handling materials, which may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 20 pounds. Travel to the office or other work sites as needed, which may involve driving or using public transportation. Maintain visual focus and acuity during extended screen time.

Monday-Friday during operating business hours with two days required in-office and Wednesday as the core in-office day for all staff
