This role evaluates the financial impact of key business drivers, develops accurate financial models, and delivers insights that support strategic decision-making. This role also plays a critical role in preparing financial presentations, contributing to the annual planning process, and ensuring the accuracy of management reports. This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.
What you will be doing:
Analyze financial performance and assess the impact of key business drivers on operational and strategic outcomes. Develop and maintain financial models that support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning. Prepare financial analysis that supports management decision-making and business planning initiatives. Create financial presentations for senior leadership and board meetings. Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports and analyses that summarize financial results, trends, risks, and opportunities. Partner with cross-functional subject matter experts to understand business drivers and support detailed financial analysis. Translate complex financial analysis into clear summaries and presentations for business partners and leadership. Lead assigned subject areas during the annual planning cycle, including analysis of input assumptions and variance to comparative periods. Support the preparation and review of management reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with financial objectives. Improve finance reporting processes, tools, and models to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Maintain data integrity across financial systems and ensure consistency in reporting outputs. Support special projects and strategic initiatives requiring financial analysis and business case development.What we need from you:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field. 2+ years in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, or equivalent business-related role. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Copilot, including advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint Experience performing financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement modeling. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify meaningful insights. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work with minimal oversight. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and adapt easily to shifting priorities. Strong communication skills with the ability to summarize analysis and communicate findings effectively. What we also value (preferred): Working or intermediate knowledge of corporate finance concepts. Strong formatting and presentation skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Proven experience in partnering with business teams and stakeholders. Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud Planning & Reporting, Tableau and OAC (Oracle Analytics Cloud). Experience using advanced analytics or artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance financial analysis and forecasting.Minimum qualifications:
