Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support USA financial reporting, expense analysis, and executive reporting in partnership with FP&A managers and cross-functional business teams. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial insights and providing variance analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong FP&A and analytical experience in a multi-site environment, with a proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve complex financial and analytical challenges.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist with financial reporting (month/quarter/year), including associated budget and forecast process. 2. Partner with FP&A managers in expense planning and reporting helping to drive expense management and accountability. 3. Prepare and deliver department head reporting packages, including narrative explanations of results. 4. Perform detailed variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods; clearly articulate root causes and actionable insights. 5. Develop, enhance, and maintain financial reports to support operational and strategic decision-making. 6. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Accounting, and other corporate teams to ensure data accuracy, alignment, and consistency across systems. 7. Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline reporting, improve forecast accuracy, and enhance visibility into site performance.
Requirements:
Minimum Education:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance
Preferred Experience:
Strong experience supporting multi-site, retail, consumer, energy, or fuel-related businesses strongly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with financial planning systems (e.g., Oracle EPM/Hyperion, SAP, Anaplan, or similar) highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in P&L review, forecasting, and variance analysis. Proven ability to create and present executive-ready materials. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, concise insights. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
