Job DescriptionThe Senior Treasury Analyst supports the organization's treasury and cash management activities, with a focus on daily cash operations, reporting, and financial analysis within a project-based AEC environment. This role works closely with Accounting, Project Finance, and senior finance leaders to help maintain liquidity, support working capital needs, and ensure accurate treasury reporting.



This position will report to the Treasurer.

Location:

Kansas City, MO - Hybrid scheduleKey ResponsibilitiesDrive and manage short-term investment activities and the analysis of excess cash balances, ensuring alignment with company policy and optimizing cash utilizationManage daily cash positioning and monitoring of bank balances across multiple accounts and entitiesLead the development and ongoing management of short-term cash forecasts, incorporating payroll, vendor payments, project billings, collections, and disbursementsMaintain bank account structures, authorized signers, online banking users, and treasury controlDrive and manage treasury policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks, including the development, implementation, monitoring, and periodic review of controls to support sound treasury operations and risk mitigationIdentify, lead, and sustain opportunities to optimize treasury operations through automation and system enhancementsFacilitate bank account openings, closings, KYC requests, and treasury service documentationSupport payment controls, fraud prevention processes, positive pay, ACH/wire controls, and related treasury risk management activities.



Monitor debt balances, interest expense, and compliance with debt agreement requirementsDrive internal treasury reporting initiatives, including cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and executive management reportsPartner with Accounting to support bank reconciliations and treasury-related month-end close activitiesDrive working capital initiatives by analyzing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing trendsLead the preparation and delivery of lender reporting packages, covenant compliance schedules, and financial data requests for lenders, auditors, and surety/bonding partnersMaintain organized treasury files and support compliance with internal controlsPerform complex financial analyses and support strategic treasury and finance initiatives on an ad hoc basisQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field required Minimum 5 years of progressive treasury, corporate finance, banking, cash management, or related finance experienceDemonstrated experience supporting treasury operations across complex multi-entity and multinational organizationsDemonstrated experience utilizing treasury management systems and banking platforms to support financial operations and reportingDemonstrated experience monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on financial covenant complianceProven ability to interpret financial statements and leverage cash flow insights to support business decision-makingAdvanced Excel skills requiredProficiency with Microsoft Office suitePreferred QualificationsCTP highly preferredAdvanced knowledge of Bloomberg, ERP systems, Power BI, and financial reporting applicationsPrior experience supporting project-driven organizations within professional services, engineering, or construction environmentsCompetencies Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyStrong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively engage finance leadership, banking partners, auditors, and cross-functional stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet critical deadlines, and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial informationAbility to analyze financial and operational trends, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend strategies to enhance liquidity, operational efficiency, and treasury performanceProven ability to develop and present treasury analyses, recommendations, and insights to senior finance leadership and key business stakeholdersDemonstrated success driving process improvements through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance treasury operations and controlsStrong project leadership skills, with the ability to lead treasury-related initiatives and coordinate effectively across Finance, Accounting, Operations, IT, and external banking partners Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
