Your Mission:
Responsible for supporting and advancing the company's Earned Value Management (EVM) processes to ensure consistent program alignment, financial transparency, and compliance across all projects. This position plays a key role in executing Keel's commitment to utilizing Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) across the organization, ensuring accurate and complete financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders. Role:
Works under general oversight to develop time-phased integrated budgets and schedules, Earned Value (EV) data compliance and reporting, cost accounting and cost and schedule integration. Develop and enhance financial controls, procedures, system requirements, and forecasting techniques, as directed, to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements. Comprehensive knowledge for financial performance of programs, providing management with an early warning of potential performance issues, identifying risks and offering solutions. Budgeting, cost control and variance analysis, internal/external reporting, risk management and financial support. Schedule analysis Development of quarterly EACs; analyze/assist in accurate projection of Estimate to Complete (ETC), Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) data. Analyze costs and personnel ensuring that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct end objective. Analyze workforce planning, forecasting and reporting. Accounting data extraction and reconciliation. Generate program financial artifacts such as EV reports, graphs, and analysis, as required to include customer reporting. Develop and present briefing of program financial status to customer. Educate management with internal reports on cost and schedule performance. Communicates within and outside the organization to explain and influence changes to practices and processes. Provides suggestions and implementation of new process improvement initiatives. Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials. Broad knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement DFARS, Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Monitor progress of program requirements and cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met. Ability to obtain US Security Clearance. Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Mission Readiness:
Bachelor's Degree in finance or equivalent degree and minimum 7 years of prior relevant finance experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 3 years of prior related finance experience is a plus. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior finance experience. Prior manager experience is a must. 3+ years experience using Excel as a daily tool. Smartsheet experience is a plus. 3+ years experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, to include variance explanations. 3+ years experience with budgeting and earned value reporting. Experience with customer/management reporting. Familiarity with contract compliance and negotiation. Knowledge of cost/schedule development, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, financial modeling, corporate forecasting, and/or business acquisitions. Understanding of general accounting principles and earned value management, including the ability to accurately assess cost data and forecast expenditures. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), accounting, and finance principles Familiarity with financial reporting metrics used in defense contracting Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DFARS, CAS, and GAAP Experience supporting proposal development, including basis-of-estimate and fact-finding Ability to communicate complex data clearly to stakeholders Demonstrates efficiency, resourcefulness, and a continuous improvement mindset Committed to high standards of quality and accuracy Strong business acumen with the ability to serve as a strategic financial partner Capable of interpreting and forecasting financial performance (awards, revenue, profit, cash) Applies leadership potential while collaborating across teams Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Maintains discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive financial data
