Job Description
Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Financial Analyst to support budgeting, reporting, and business performance analysis for a growing organization in Kingsport, Tennessee. This role focuses on translating financial data into practical insights, improving forecast accuracy, and helping teams make informed operational decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical ability with hands-on experience in accounting support, cash planning, and detailed financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Develop financial models and performance reports to evaluate trends, support planning, and guide decision-making across the business.
- Analyze budget-to-actual results, investigate variances, and present clear explanations with actionable recommendations.
- Perform ad hoc financial studies using large data sets to answer business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare cash flow projections and forecasting updates to support short-term and long-range financial planning.
- Assist with accounts receivable activities, including payment posting, expense review, and maintaining accurate supporting records.
- Record journal entries and help ensure financial transactions are documented correctly and completed on schedule.
- Support audit readiness by organizing documentation, reconciling information, and responding to requests for financial detail.
- Use Excel and Sage Timberline to maintain reports, track financial activity, and improve reporting efficiency.
- Monitor purchasing card activity and related expenses to help maintain compliance with internal controls and reporting standards.
