Job Title Financial Analyst Department Finance Location Dallas, TX (Corporate Headquarters) Reports To Sr. Director, FP&A FLSA Status Exempt As our ideal Financial Analyst, you are naturally drawn to the Surf Air brand and you get it. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Director of FP&A, with corporate headquarters based in Dallas, TX. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work directly with finance and operations leadership on all Financial Planning & Analysis activities Wear many different hats to support the business as it continues to grow Own ad-hoc analysis, budgeting, forecasting, monthly financial reporting and analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators Assist with developing financial models and presenting analytics to support the management team Conduct various industry and market analyses Manage financial and operational ad-hoc reporting and analysis Prepare and review financial variances between Actual, Budget, and Forecast results Provide support on the monthly close process, including review of variance analyses, key trends, and performance metrics Lead the planning, coordination, and consolidation of the corporate budget and forecast as needed by the business Continuously analyze revenue and expense drivers to incorporate trends into financial forecasts Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Entrepreneurial spirit: thrives in a rapidly changing environment, with flexibility and a demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, multiple priorities, and projects in a fast paced, innovative organization Customer focus: a demonstrated track record of proactively engaging leaders and employees at all levels, with strong professional maturity and the ability to influence outcomes Strong communication skills: excellent verbal and written skills, able to work effectively across levels and leadership styles, with strong business acumen and proven experience translating business needs into action
Enthusiasm:
high energy with a driving sense of urgency, a continuous improvement mindset, and a strong desire and ability to mentor and coach Project management skills: able to manage multiple projects simultaneously that require cross-functional collaboration Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required Experience 1 to 3 years of FP&A experience, preferably at a medium sized to large company in a high growth environment Experience in startups, consulting, or a similar role Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting packages preferred Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel Ability to think independently and provide useful, constructive feedback Miscellaneous Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Computer and phone skills Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively Ability to pass a 7-year background check and pre-employment drug screen per airline regulations and/or company policy Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986 This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform from time to time.
