Position Summary:

As a Financial Reporting analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our company's financial reporting processes, with a primary focus on undergoing the preparation of SEC filings. You will ensure compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP while collaborating closely with internal teams, external auditors, and legal counsel. This role requires a deep understanding of financial reporting standards, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in financial reporting software like Workiva.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Portfolio Lead the 10-

K Filing Process:

Manage and execute the preparation, review, and filing of the annual 10-K report, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A (Management's Discussion and Analysis).

Ensure Compliance:

Stay abreast of SEC regulations and accounting standards (GAAP) to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. Implement necessary changes to reporting processes as regulations evolve.

Coordinate Financial Reporting Activities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Finance, Legal, and External Auditors to gather necessary information, resolve inquiries, and ensure timely completion of filings.

Enhance Reporting Efficiency:

Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting processes, leveraging tools such as Workiva to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy.

Audit Support:

Act as a liaison with external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits. Facilitate audit requests, address audit findings, and implement recommendations for process enhancements.

Risk Management:

Assess and mitigate financial reporting risks. Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure integrity and reliability of financial information.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred. 2+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, including hands-on experience with SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) within a public company environment. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. Familiarity with XBRL tagging and Workiva software is highly desirable. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior management, auditors, and external stakeholders. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry background in operations-heavy domains (e.g., engineering, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, field services) with complex workflows and documentation. Hands-on experience building RAG pipelines (document parsing, chunking strategies, embeddings tuning, retrieval quality evaluation) and multi-agent workflows. Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI Service, Microsoft Copilot Studio, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI), and vector stores (e.g., Azure AI Search, Pinecone, Weaviate). Experience with governed AI in the enterprise: policy-as-code, content filtering, model access control, prompt/response logging, and data retention policies. Demonstrated vendor management and SI/partner coordination for AI implementations; ability to craft SOWs and value-based acceptance criteria. Proficiency with modern data stacks (APIs, ETL/ELT, data lakes, event buses) and at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, TypeScript) for prototypes.

Strong measurement discipline:

defining KPIs, setting baselines, establishing dashboards, and quantifying ROI. Master's degree in a technical or business field (e.g., CS, Data Science, Engineering, MBA) is a plus.
