What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- + An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 2-5+ years of experience in public finance credit analysis, municipal bond analysis, or related financial analysis roles + Ability to think independently and critically with strong integrity, analytical curiosity,problem-solvingand research skills + Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas across functions and levels, including the ability to evaluate multiple analytical scenarios and communicate rationale clearly in group settings + Strong attention to detail anddemonstratedskills in quantitative analysis + Ability to accurately interpret data and appropriately apply criteria to generate key relevant analytical insights and conclusions + Demonstratedability to work effectively with incomplete or conflicting data andidentifyoptions in non-routine situations + Proficiencyin Microsoft Office, aptitude for learning new applications/proprietary software, and familiarity with generative AI tools + Werequireall candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- + MBA, MPA, MPP, JD, and/or CFA preferred + Knowledge of GASB and FASB accounting standards + Experience in the municipal market with specific focus on charter schools, independent schools, or community colleges + Strong understanding of financial reporting and markets, with knowledge of S&P's analytical products and services + Demonstratedability to influence and advise junior colleagues in operational processes to achieve defined goals •
Compensation/Benefits Information:
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $91,000
- $119,000, depending on location, experience, and skills. This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits. For more information on the benefits we provide to our employees, please visit S&P Global Benefits.
