Job Description

Ashford is an alternative asset management platform focused on real estate and hospitality investments. We advise two publicly traded REITs - Ashford Hospitality Trust (
NYSE:
AHT) and Braemar Hotels & Resorts (
NYSE:
BHR) - providing asset management, capital allocation, and value-creation oversight across a diverse hotel portfolio. We are seeking a sharp, driven candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and will contribute to investment analysis, capital planning, portfolio value initiatives, and structured reporting across ancillary revenue streams and core hotel operations. The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Asset Management Analytics and Strategy team and report directly to Director of Analytics.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that improve forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and capital deployment effectiveness Analyze key hotel operating metrics (RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, margin flow-through, labor efficiency) to identify and report on performance gaps and value-creation opportunities Conduct property-level and market-level research to inform strategic portfolio objectives Translate complex financial analysis into concise, decision-ready insights for senior leadership Partner with Business Intelligence, Capital Management, Revenue Optimization, Risk, and Operations teams to evaluate and execute strategies that enhance NOI and long-term asset value
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field Demonstrated interest in real estate, asset management, or the hospitality industry through coursework, internships, or relevant experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience working with complex spreadsheets and financial models Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to develop clear, professional, and visually effective presentations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data to support business decisions Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and professional development Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment Demonstrated professionalism with a high level of integrity and accountability Ability to work onsite five days per week
