No Job Description Select's Commercial Strategy & Execution Analyst is responsible for economic and financial analyses to support key strategic initiatives in Select's Water Infrastructure business unit. This analyst is an integral member of a small, central, cross-functional team overseeing deal financing & modeling, underwriting, portfolio management, standards, segment reporting and acquisition and divestiture opportunities. Contributor to Select's commercial team tasked with expanding the Company's water infrastructure footprint across the U.S. Lower 48. Reports to the Director of Commercial Strategy & Execution with support from the broader commercial team. The essential job functions include, but are not limited to Provides analytical support to the organization and senior leadership as a member of a cross-functional team. Prepares economic analyses and operating/financial models to support Select's growth strategy in conjunction with potential strategic actions related to the Company's Water Infrastructure business. Partners with others on sophisticated, greenfield business opportunities; uses financial and quantitative information to guide actions and performance. Understands all components of a deal structure and supports closure of opportunities that meet financial hurdles and strategic fit. Tracks variance analysis to understand business performance relative to goals and budgets. Responds to various ad hoc requests from Commercial Development team lead, CEO, CCO, CSO, CFO and Board of Directors to assess value optimization and operational performance. Facilitates the deal making process by working with commercial development, engineering and construction, supply chain, finance, accounting, legal, operations and senior leadership. Builds proposals and memorandums for internal and external stakeholders. Monitors industry activity/transactions and communicates relevant information to team. Provides regular basin analyses to help determine basin results by operator and identify where potential commercial development opportunities exist. Develops opinions and challenges recommendations on basin, customer and competitor intelligence based off third party tools and publications. Assists in all aspects of the M&A process including identifying, qualifying, negotiating, closing and deal execution. Supports due diligence activities, including working with third party specialists, advisors and internal stakeholders and interfacing with senior management to complete transactions. Develops internal materials for senior leadership and the Board of Directors that evaluates historical and projected business trends, the financial impact and rationale for potential strategic alternatives, and other information as requested. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or Math. 1-2 years of experience in energy investment banking, corporate development, corporate finance, transaction advisory, valuation advisory or management consulting with direct exposure to the upstream oil and gas, midstream and/or water infrastructure space preferred. Proven experience working with complex operating and/or financial models. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are required; ability to effectively deal with range of personalities and hierarchy within and outside of company; professional, diplomatic and tactful. Excellent attention to detail; accuracy highly important. Ability to solve multi-dimensional problems and make clear and concise recommendations. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while supporting a team environment. Must use discretion and confidentiality with sensitive and/or private information or matters. Excellent time management skills; ability to re-prioritize and to be flexible. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high growth, entrepreneurial, ever-changing environment. Must be able to identify opportunities and make recommendations for improvement. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of energy market fundamentals and economics including commodity pricing, basin market fundamentals and competitor strategies and actions. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of commercial aspects of the energy industry. Considered a specialist regarding deal structure, contract terms, financial issues and other aspects of project development. Experience providing thought leadership and innovation to a growing business unit. Demonstrates ability to produce high-quality presentation materials and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Proven work experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
