Financial Analyst City of Seabrook - 4.6 Seabrook, TX Job Details Full-time $62,736.31 - $72,754.88 a year 11 hours ago Qualifications Research Bachelor's degree Data-driven problem-solving Full Job Description Are you a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys analyzing data, solving problems, and helping organizations make informed financial decisions? The City of Seabrook is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Finance Department and play a key role in maintaining the City's financial integrity, supporting budget development, monitoring grants, and ensuring compliance with governmental accounting standards. What You'll Do As a Financial Analyst, you'll work closely with the Finance Director and departments across the City to: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports. Monitor and analyze budgets, expenditures, and financial trends. Support the annual audit process and prepare audit schedules. Assist with grant administration, reporting, and compliance monitoring. Reconcile bank accounts and maintain strong financial controls. Research discrepancies and recommend solutions to improve financial operations. Assist with capital asset accounting and financial statement preparation. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support City decision-making.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience. Ability to obtain bonding and possess a valid Texas-issued identification. Preferred Knowledge & Skills Governmental accounting experience. Knowledge of GASB standards and GAAP. Experience with ERP financial systems. Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Why Join the City of Seabrook?
