What role you will play in our team If successful, you will be an integral part of our Global Trading Analytics organization, supporting commercial and trading activities across North American natural gas markets. We are seeking a highly motivated analyst with strong market fundamentals, analytical capabilities, and regional expertise in the Permian Basin and South Texas markets to develop market views and analytical frameworks that support trading, asset optimization, and commercial decision-making. In this role, you will work closely with traders, originators, quantitative analysts, and risk professionals to evaluate production trends, transportation constraints, regional balances, and market dislocations across key natural gas hubs. You will contribute to the development of scalable analytical solutions and actionable market insights that help the Global Trading organization identify and capture commercial opportunities. What you will do Develop and maintain market views for Permian Basin and South Texas natural gas markets. Analyze regional supply, demand, storage, and transportation fundamentals impacting North American gas pricing. Monitor production trends across major supply basins, including associated gas growth, drilling activity, completion trends, and infrastructure developments. Evaluate pipeline flows, transportation constraints, capacity utilization, maintenance events, and basis market dynamics. Build regional balance models and forecasting frameworks supporting short-, medium-, and long-term market analysis. Identify market dislocations, arbitrage opportunities, and regional pricing drivers that support trading and portfolio positioning decisions. Analyze LNG feedgas demand, Gulf Coast fundamentals, power burn trends, and other drivers impacting South Texas markets. Partner closely with traders and commercial teams to translate market analysis into actionable trading insights and positioning recommendations. Develop analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to improve decision support and market transparency. Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate market risks and opportunities. Communicate market developments and analytical findings clearly and effectively to commercial stakeholders. What you will bring Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Energy Markets, or a related discipline. Strong understanding of North American natural gas fundamentals. Experience analyzing Permian Basin and/or South Texas natural gas markets. Knowledge of pipeline flows, transportation economics, storage dynamics, and regional basis markets. Experience building market balance models, forecasting frameworks, or market intelligence tools. Proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel, and data visualization platforms. Experience working with large energy datasets, including production, pipeline, storage, pricing, and weather data. Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex market dynamics to both technical and commercial stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced trading and commercial environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting natural gas trading or portfolio management organizations. Experience with LNG market analysis and Gulf Coast gas dynamics. Experience with GPCM or other gas market modeling platforms. Knowledge of power markets and gas-to-power relationships. Experience with Enverus, Wood Mackenzie, S&P Global Commodity Insights, Genscape, or similar energy market datasets. Experience supporting physical asset optimization, transportation portfolios, or structured commercial transactions.
