We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Americas Central Analysis & Planning (CAP) Finance Team . The Americas CAP Finance Team is responsible for central analysis and planning support for all revenue processes within the Americas Field Finance Team. This role will be focused on helping to drive many of our key processes, including Annual Budgeting, Quarterly Forecasting, Monthly Performance Reviews, and other key deliverables. This role will work across the organization and have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our Microsoft Americas Commercial business. Responsibilities Responds to ad-hoc requests from team members and peers to identify critical information and support agile changes as needed. Partners to understand and support processes through engagement with finance stakeholders. Learns and applies the foundational aspects of Microsoft Finance (e.g., financial systems, policies and procedures, key metrics, historical performance, reporting, and forecast requirements) and business (e.g., market, key drivers of profitability) to collect information, perform technical analysis and modeling, and complete standardized reporting. Applies financial acumen to, and contributes to analytics of present and future financial performance of various processes including Budgeting, Forecasting, and Monthly Performance Reviews, with oversight from team members. Ensures integrity and quality of content. Prepares data to be used in analyses by data mining/querying and reporting with oversight from team members. Learns how to perform and conducts statistical analyses, predictive analytics, and financial modeling techniques to summarize data using approved software (e.g., PowerBI, Excel) as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field OR equivalent experience Preferred Qualifications Internship to 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience Financial Analysis IC2
  • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $67,800
  • $122,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $92,600
  • $139,800 per year.
