The Supervisor, Financial Analysis will: Support the Financial Accounting Bureau as the Financial Analyst Supervisor; Supervise and mentor accounting staff while fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development; Oversee the coordination of financial data, preparation and analysis of monthly general ledger reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger; Aide the Financial Accounting Bureau to ensure the Agency complies with all state and federal rules and regulations while effectively working and communicating with other Bureaus and Divisions within the Agency; Ensure audit requirements are met in the preparation of financial statements and audit schedules. How does it get done? The Supervisor, Financial Analysis is responsible for: Supervising and mentoring staff; Training staff; Running reports from SHARE; Preparing trial balances; Reviewing and analyzing financial data; Reconciling the general ledger to third party interface systems for Health Care Authority (HCA) programs; Preparing and monitoring financial transactions and adjustments within assigned fund; Assisting with annual financial audit, audit deliverables, schedules and adjusting journal entries. Who are the customers? Citizens of New Mexico; Health Care Authority (HCA) management and staff; Other state and federal agencies. Ideal Candidate Citizens of New Mexico; Health Care Authority (HCA) management and staff; Other state and federal agencies. Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business administration and five (5) years of experience in accounting, finance, economics, and/or statistical analysis. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling nine (9) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must obtain a Defensive driving certification. Working Conditions Work is performed in a law enforcement office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer, phone usage and extended periods of sitting.
