Accounting Manager

Overview We're hiring an Accounting Manager to own the accuracy, speed, and visibility of our financials while leading our AR and AP teams. This role reports directly to the VP of Operations and is responsible for keeping the company financially disciplined, operationally aligned, and positioned for growth. This is not a maintenance role, we're looking for someone who takes ownership and runs the function. Responsibilities Financial Management Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Maintain clean general ledger and reconciliations Manage revenue recognition (job-based / percent complete) Accounts Receivable (Cash Flow) Oversee AR team and collections Manage AR aging and ensure timely invoicing Resolve billing issues with operations Accounts Payable (Control) Oversee AP workflow and vendor payments Ensure proper coding and PO alignment Maintain strong vendor relationships Cash & Systems Maintain visibility into cash position and support forecasting Ensure accuracy between ServiceTitan and QuickBooks Online WIP & Job Costing Manage WIP and validate job profitability Partner with operations to identify cost/margin issues Leadership Lead and develop AR/AP staff Drive accountability, accuracy, and urgency within the team Requirements 5+ years of accounting experience (job costing or service-based industry preferred) Experience managing AR/AP or small accounting teams Strong understanding of: 1. Financial close process 2. Job costing / WIP 3.
