This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting and possess industry-specific knowledge to effectively manage accounting processes. Responsibilities Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards. Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development. Prepare reports for management that summarize current financial position and highlight areas for improvement. Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements. Implement and improve accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency within the manufacturing environment. Requirements Proven experience in general ledger accounting with a strong understanding of manufacturing industry practices. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or similar certification preferred. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations relevant to manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to lead an accounting team effectively. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external auditors. Proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
