What You'll Do The Accounting Manager plays a key role in managing all financial operations and contributing to the long-term financial stability of our client's long-established non-profit organization.

Responsibilities include:

Overseeing all accounting functions , including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Preparing and presenting monthly financial statements with clear, insightful reporting for executive management and the Board. Leading the annual budget process in partnership with the leadership team, ensuring accurate forecasts and allocations. Managing cash flow and recommending strategies to maintain healthy reserves. Serving as the primary contact for external auditors and overseeing the annual audit process . Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures for continued growth and efficiency. Administering employee benefits, including retirement and time-off programs , with a focus on employee satisfaction and compliance. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is an accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Key qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). At least 5 years of accounting and financial management experience, non-profit experience is a plus. Proficiency with SAGE accounting software and hands-on payroll experience . Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience preparing financial reports and reconciliations. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a high attention to detail. Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
