Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to take ownership of our accounting function and provide the financial reporting and insight leadership needs to make informed business decisions across a growing, multi-unit organization. This is a hands-on leadership position . You'll work in the details of accounting while also improving processes, strengthening controls, and partnering with operational leaders to understand and communicate financial performance. Experience in restaurants, food & beverage, hospitality, retail, or another multi-unit busines s is especially valuable. Work remotely 1 day a week! What You'll Do Accounting & Financial Reporting Manage the monthly close, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statements. Review financial results for accuracy, completeness, trends, and variances. Prepare company-wide and location-level financial reporting and analysis. Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts, credit cards, debt, fixed assets, inventory, and other key accounts. Oversee accounting for inventory, COGS, labor, fixed assets, and other areas relevant to a multi-location food & beverage operation. Financial Planning & Business Support Provide leadership with clear analysis of financial results, risks, variances, and opportunities. Manage cash flow reporting and forecasting, including anticipated cash needs and financial obligations. Partner with operational leaders on budgets, spending, forecasting, and financial performance. Work with financial and operational KPIs to help evaluate business performance. Support financial analysis and special projects as business needs change. Processes, Controls & Compliance Build, maintain, and improve accounting processes, procedures, systems, and internal controls. Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including approvals, collections, processes, and controls. Manage applicable sales and transaction privilege tax filings and other accounting-related regulatory requirements. Oversee required business licenses, regulatory filings, and insurance administration across company operations. Team Leadership Lead and develop the accounting team. Establish clear responsibilities, processes, deadlines, and expectations. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field. 5+ years of accounting or related experience. 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience. Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, financial reporting, and internal controls. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex financial information into useful insights. Experience with KPIs, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance. Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with both financial and non-financial leaders. Strong computer and software skills. Experience with QuickBooks and Excel is important. Familiarity with Paylocity and Asana is a plus.
