PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
We seek an enthusiastic, team-oriented problem solver to join our Finance Team as an Accounting Manager.
Key responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close Lead and manage the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring all journal entries, accruals, and financial statements are completed accurately and on schedule. Oversee and review the general ledger to guarantee proper coding, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP and organizational policies. Perform and review account reconciliations (including bank, balance sheet, and sub-ledger accounts), proactively identifying, researching, and resolving discrepancies. Collaborate with the Controller on year-end financial reporting and the preparation of Provided-by-Client (PBC) requirements for external tax team. Operations & Cross-Functional Collaboration Manage daily accounting operations , directly overseeing the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions. Own the procure-to-pay (P2P) lifecycle and administration within Coupa. Partner with HR to ensure accurate payroll processing and benefits reconciliations. Maintain inventory accounting accuracy by collaborating closely with Technical, Business Development, and Operations teams. Ensure state and local tax compliance , overseeing timely filings and reporting. Process Improvement & Team Leadership Supervise, mentor, and develop accounts payable and accounting staff; provide clear guidance, training, and performance management to foster a high-performing team culture. Develop, document, and improve accounting policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or operational improvements. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external accounting-related inquiries, collaborating across departments to streamline reporting and improve efficiency.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is a plus. •
Experience:
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role. Prior work experience in Biotech industry a plus. •
Technical Skills:
High proficiency with Coupa (or similar P2P systems) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QBO or Microsoft Dynamics). Advanced Excel skills are required. •
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of US GAAP, inventory accounting, and state/local tax compliance. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis (We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.)
