$72,000 per year Full-Time Monday through Friday 9AM-5PM About Us Redwood Living Inc. operates assisted living communities focused on providing compassionate care and support to seniors throughout Kern County. We are seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Accounting Office Manager to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting accounting operations, payroll, resident billing, insurance follow-up, and office organization across multiple locations. Job ResponsibilitiesPayroll & Accounting Complete bi-monthly payroll processing using hours submitted by facility administrators Maintain monthly profit & loss statements and balance sheets in QuickBooks Reconcile bank accounts and post daily sales/receipts Prepare financial statements and complete bookkeeping duties as assigned Resident Billing & Accounts Receivable Manage monthly rent collection process Track outstanding resident balances and accounts receivable Send monthly invoices and post payments into QuickBooks Assist residents with Social Security and Medi-Cal-related follow-up Personal & Incidental Income Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for resident personal/incidental funds Insurance & Benefits Coordination Review resident Medi-Cal eligibility and assist with renewals, county transfers, shares of cost, and benefit issues Coordinate resident transportation and paperwork completion related to benefits Worker's Compensation Calculate and post Worker's Compensation insurance payments Office & Facility Support Travel between Bakersfield and Lake Isabella locations using a company vehicle Assist with organization, paperwork follow-up, and operational support at assisted living facilities Qualifications Minimum 3 years of accounting experience Minimum 3 years of QuickBooks experience Strong bookkeeping and payroll background Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Must be professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Must pass a Livescan Background Check Travel Requirements This position requires travel between Bakersfield and Lake Isabella in a company vehicle to follow up on resident insurance, Social Security benefits, and facility-related paperwork.
