An Accounting Manager manages the accounting department of a company or organization. Directs the accounting staff that prepare financial statements and business activity and forecasting reports and tax filings. Monitors accounting data. Implements and manages accounting policies and procedures. Advises management with regard to finance decisions.

Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager directs and manages company fiscal in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulations respectively. This position oversees and ensures the timely and accurate processing and management of the AR/AP, General Ledger, Cash-flow, analyzing and projecting Cash-flow on a timely basis. The Accounting Manager will create the company budget and analyze the discrepancy between the budget and actual and make reports to the Head of Administration Department and top managers. This position has substantial discretion, autonomy and independence in the execution of his/her duties, decisions and/or responsibilities.
Essential Position Functions and Duties:
Effectively work with accounting personnel (AP/AR, and financial) as the manager. Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Manage the General Ledger, the overall AR/AP, Bank reconciliation and Cash-flow. Monitor, analyze, update and oversee cash-flow, current balances and create various forecasts and reports to upper management on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis, and make recommendations, report to upper management. Make plans to continuously improve cash-flow and make recommendations to upper management and create and update long-term cash-flow plans on a quarterly basis. AP - Supervise clerks' work to ensure the use of accurate expenses category and departmental/section code and timely issuance of payment checks. Create and update revenue and profit forecast on a monthly basis. Analyze and report the discrepancy between the budget and actual monthly results. Garnering support and cooperation from Procurement, Production Control and Engineering to assess payable and receivable forecasts. Internally share knowledge and experience gained through programs with other parts of the business. Comply with and enforce internal Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures. Human Resource management, tasks distribution, designation of goal, evaluation, and problem solving related to staff in charge. Manage annual financial audit, intermediate audits by outside agencies.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 10 years minimum experience as Accounting Manager. Ability to work in an international, dynamic, fast-paced and time-sensitive environment. Management of AR/AP, Cash-flow analysis and reporting to top management. Articulate in communication and tact in dealing with people of all levels. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing. Computer skills, Microsoft Office, schedule management and organizational skills.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
General office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at 75%. Must be able to move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
