Job Description
Our client is a leading lower middle market private equity firm seeking an Associate to join its Industrials team in the Bay Area. The role offers exposure to new investments, add-on acquisitions, due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio company initiatives. Working on lean deal teams alongside senior investors, Associates gain meaningful responsibility, hands-on investing experience, and broad exposure within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. Private Equity Associate - Industrials Our client is a highly regarded lower middle market private equity firm seeking an Associate to join its Industrials investment team. The successful candidate will work closely with Principals and Partners across a variety of investment opportunities and portfolio company initiatives. The firm operates with lean deal teams, providing Associates with broad exposure and significant responsibility throughout the investment lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and execute new platform investment opportunities
- Perform financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis
- Conduct industry, market, and company due diligence
- Support transaction execution and deal process management
- Participate in add-on acquisition sourcing and execution
- Assist in investment committee materials and presentations
- Partner with portfolio companies on strategic and operational initiatives
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation efforts
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of investment banking experience
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Experience supporting M&A transactions and due diligence processes
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and strong work ethic
- Interest in private equity investing and company building
