$75,000-$100,000/year + Performance Bonus About Adval Construction Adval Construction Inc. is a fast-growing California residential remodeling and general construction company with approximately $6 million in annual revenue. Our services include kitchen and bathroom remodeling, cabinet refacing and refinishing, countertops, flooring, painting, and general construction projects. We are looking for an experienced Construction Accounting Manager / Controller to take ownership of our accounting, financial reporting, job costing, and cash-flow management. This is a hands-on position working directly with company ownership and leadership. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations Maintain accurate job costing and profitability by project Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Track customer deposits, progress payments, and final payments Manage vendor and subcontractor invoices Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts Calculate and verify sales commissions Coordinate payroll and labor-cost reporting Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash-Flow reports Track budget vs. actual performance Identify jobs exceeding budgets or profitability targets Maintain W-9 and 1099 documentation Improve internal financial controls and accounting procedures Work with our outside CPA on taxes and compliance Provide ownership with accurate weekly and monthly financial reports Qualifications 5+ years of accounting/finance experience preferred Construction accounting and job-costing experience strongly preferred Strong QuickBooks experience Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills Experience with A/R, A/P, payroll, and financial reporting Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Strong problem-solving and communication skills High level of integrity and confidentiality Compensation & Benefits $75,000-$100,000 annual salary Performance-based bonus Health insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off Paid holidays Long-term growth opportunities Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who does more than record transactions. We want someone who understands the numbers and helps management improve the business. You should be able to identify which projects are profitable, which jobs are going over budget, what customers still owe, upcoming cash requirements, and opportunities to improve margins and financial controls. Our goal is to have a clear and accurate financial picture of the previous month by the 10th of every month.Job Type:
