Job Description

Job Overview UMe Tea is seeking a Senior Strategic Finance Manager to drive our finance transformation in two phases: a 90‑day project‑based architecture & remediation phase, followed by ongoing retainer‑style strategic finance support. You will build our single source of financial truth, deliver data‑driven insights for operations, and support Series B fundraising. Reports to Board & operational leadership. Key Responsibilities Phase 1 (90‑Day Project) ‑ Redesign financial reporting framework (CoA, location tracking); lead FY2025 financial restatement across 30 locations ‑ Prepare technical accounting memos (revenue recognition, ASC 842 leases) for audit readiness; certify Jan‑01‑2026 opening balance sheet ‑ Remap ERP stack (POS → Payroll → GL) for automated data feeds ‑ Build custom 3‑statement operating model, 3‑5‑year LRP forecast for Series B, bottoms‑up budget, investor deck & KPI dashboards ‑ Analyze four‑wall store‑level profitability; evaluate legal‑entity structure for tax & liability optimization Phase 2 (Ongoing Retainer Work) ‑ Oversee Controller deliverables; review & sign‑off monthly financial close for the Board‑ Build real‑time dashboards (sales, labor %, prime cost, productivity); contribute to weekly Ops‑Finance sync ‑ Maintain financial models & rolling forecasts; deliver store profitability ranking, cash runway & multi‑horizon scenario planning ‑ Manage banking relationships, debt covenants and AP large‑disbursement approvals ‑ End‑to‑end Series B fundraising support: investor materials, term‑sheet negotiation through closing Requirements ‑ Bachelor's in Finance / Accounting; US GAAP knowledge including ASC 842; multi‑unit food‑beverage retail experience preferred ‑ Hands‑on 3‑statement modeling, budgeting & unit‑economics analysis for brick‑and‑mortar store portfolios ‑
ERP / POS
/ Payroll‑GL integration experience; exposure to financial restatement and external audit coordination ‑ Experience building board‑ready reporting & dashboards; prior fundraising support experience a strong plus ‑ Strong business acumen; translate complex finance data into actionable operational recommendations -Basic English communication skills required; bilingual English/Chinese is a plus.
Compensation Base Salary:
$150,000

$150,000.00 per year
