Salary Exempt Position Overview The Kitchen Accounting Manager supports a fast-growing grocery store chain by coordinating and managing accounting activities for commercial kitchen operations across multiple distribution centers. This role ensures accurate cost accounting, compliance, workflow efficiency, and strong cross-department collaboration. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Cost Accounting Coordination
  • Manage cost accounting processes for commercial kitchen operations across several distribution centers. Operations Reporting
  • Oversee operational reporting workflows to ensure accuracy and timeliness. SOP & Workflow Development
  • Create, implement, and maintain accounting SOPs and standardized workflows. P&L Template Development
  • Build and refine P&L templates for kitchen-related financial reporting. Vendor Financial Review
  • Coordinate financial reviews of vendors supporting kitchen operations. Vendor File Maintenance
  • Maintain organized and compliant vendor documentation. License & Permit Management
  • Track and maintain licenses and permits required for kitchen operations. Project Leadership
  • Lead accounting-related project teams and support cross-functional initiatives. Special Projects
  • Manage special assignments related to accounting, compliance, or kitchen operations.
Consults With Sr. Kitchen Accounting Manager Accounting Manager Compliance Manager Education & Experience Requirements 3-5 years of relevant accounting or cost accounting experience Minimum 2 years of SAP experience Strong organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills Ability to meet strict deadlines Computer Skills Strong proficiency with TruckMate, SAP, Excel, and MS Office Ability to learn and navigate additional systems as needed Reasoning & Communication Ability Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of management and communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats. Physical Demands Lifting up to 10 lbs Extended periods of computer work Walking and climbing stairs within distribution center environments 50%+ travel to multiple DC's across the country Work Environment Distribution center setting with varying temperatures Collaboration with kitchen operations, logistics, and accounting teams Disclaimer This job description outlines the general nature and level of work expected.
