The brands we support are e-commerce powerhouses in a variety of sectors. As we continue to evolve, we plan to expand into more verticals over the next 12-18 months, ensuring our company remains synonymous with versatility and innovation. We operate under the ethos of "it's your turn," a slogan that captures our belief in transformation and opportunity, whether it's a verb to signify change or a noun representing a chance to make an impact. The Non-Negotiables. Three things you must have. If any of these are not true for you, this is not your role. Current, hands-on cost accounting experience. You are doing this work today or have been within the last 6 months. Multi-entity month-end close ownership. You personally close books across multiple entities, every month, recently. Vast and recent experience with COGS, inventory valuation, and 100+ SKUs in a manufacturing or CPG environment. Read this before you apply. This is a hands-on accounting role with real ownership. You will run the close, own the reconciliations, and help lay the bricks of a finance system that does not yet exist. We support exciting, high-impact brands. One of the brands we support was inspired by Red Bull, Supreme, Off-White, and Poppi. Our support helped them earn $30M in 2024, $40M in 2025, and build toward $100M+ annually. Their first product line was vapes, and they are launching Beverages and Apparel next! You will lead the 2 accountants on payroll today and own the close from day one. You report directly to the founder until our incoming CFO is in seat, at which point you become one of their most trusted operators. If you want to be a button-pusher in QuickBooks, do not apply. If you want to be the person who actually closes the books and owns the truth, keep reading. What we don't want. This role calls for a specific kind of operator. Do not apply if any of these describe you: You want a remote or hybrid job. This role is onsite, in the office, in the warehouse, with the team. You complain when the books are not right and the hours run long. We work overtime until the books are dialed in. You do too. You expect a manager to define every step of your day. You take ownership, you flag what's broken, you fix what you can. You believe the numbers tell the full story. Here, you go find the story behind them. You have never owned cost accounting, COGS, or inventory in a manufacturing or CPG business. You have never closed the books across multiple entities. Working with new/emerging industries is a non-starter for you. Who we want. You are a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager with 5 to 10 years of experience at inventory-heavy or CPG businesses. You have owned the close. You have owned reconciliations. You have done cost accounting hands-on, not just supervised it. You know how to value inventory across warehouses, calculate landed costs across overseas manufacturing and domestic co-packing, manage BOMs, and run COGS variance analysis without flinching. You maintain COGS in real time every month, not as a year-end true-up. You have built or maintained a standard cost system in a manufacturing environment. You have consolidated books across multiple entities and you know what intercompany eliminations are without Googling them. You are fluent in QuickBooks. ERP transition experience is a plus. We are moving to Odoo. You are precise, fast, and you do not need a babysitter. You raise your hand when something does not tie. You are the person leadership trusts to actually close the month. Who we are. We work with brands that are built out across manufacturing, wholesale, DTC, and in-house creative. We work closely with our brand partners' manufacturers in China and Bangladesh, as well as their domestic co-packers in the US. A 6 person production team in Shenzhen. Wholesale distribution in California, Arizona, New York, and Florida. A 6 person sales team. A 15+ person in-house design and media department. 3 accountants, 5 warehouse staff, 3 ops and leadership roles, a Chief Product Officer, and a Director of Analytics implementing systems and tooling. We have grown hard and fast and we are building the financial backbone now. You will be one of the people who builds it. What makes this hard? We are two companies running under one roof. A design, media, and marketing brand built in the spirit of Poppi or Rhode. And a CPG operation with overseas supply chain, domestic co packing, channel margins, and real inventory complexity. Now add our emerging-market clients, and their state-by-state compliance needs.
A 50 SKU
catalog becomes 300+ SKUs because every state has its own rules. Multiply that by inventory locations, lot tracking, and COGS variance, and you have an accounting environment most senior accountants have never seen. You will not inherit a clean system. You will help build it. The work itself. To do this job well, you need to be fluent in all of the following. If most of this is unfamiliar, this is not your job. Monthly close. Own it end to end. Journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortization, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L review. On time, every time. Cost accounting and COGS. Standard costing. Landed cost calculations across overseas manufacturing and domestic co-packing. BOM management. COGS variance analysis. Inventory valuation across multiple warehouses and states. Multi-entity consolidations. Consolidate books across entities. Intercompany eliminations. Clean trial balances. Roll-ups leadership can trust. Lead the accounting team. Manage, mentor, and elevate our 2 staff accountants running AP and AR. Set the standard. Catch issues before they become problems. Sales tax and compliance. Multi-state sales tax filings. Coordinate with outside tax advisors. Stay ahead of state-by-state industry-specific compliance impacts on the books. Systems. Fluent in QuickBooks. ERP transition experience is a plus. We are moving to ODOO. Tableau or equivalent for reporting is a bonus. Audit support. Prepare schedules, pull documentation, answer questions. Make the auditors' job easy so they make ours easy. The First 90 days. This role is measured by execution, not intention. Days 1 to 30: Learn the books. Walk every reconciliation, every account, every entity. Find what is broken and tell us. Days 31 to 60: Own the close. Tighten reconciliations. Standardize inventory valuation. Document what you are doing as you do it. Days 61 to 90: Deliver a clean, on-time close. Build the foundation the incoming CFO can scale on. Compensation. Base salary in the range of $80K to $100K, depending on experience and the level you come in at. Performance bonus tied to clear deliverables. Real growth path as the finance org scales and you prove the case. The Practicals.

If you execute, you earn trust, growth, and a long-term seat on the team that is building this thing. Pronoia Labs LLC is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
