Job:
In this at-will management position you will lead Airport Finance staff to manage, supervise, and coordinate the Accounting, Budgeting, Finance, Planning, and Analysis activities and operations within the Colorado Springs Airport. Responsibilities include fiscal, information systems, and planning activities; coordinate financial activities with other divisions, departments, outside agencies, airlines, concessionaires, and other stakeholders; and provide highly responsible and complex assistance to the Aviation Director. New hires will be offered a salary that falls between the zone minimum and zone midpoint: Zone Min:
$126,528.00 - Zone Mid:
$151,894.00. There is room to grow to the zone max over time: Zone Max:

See the full potential of growth for this position here: 2026 Salary Schedule As an Airport Finance Manager, you will: Lead the Airport Finance Team to perform a wide range of accounting, budgeting, finance, planning, financial modeling, and analysis activities Develop and administer the Airport's budget in accordance with applicable City policies Oversee the calculation and administration of Airport rates and charges Evaluate and forecast future needs, including the Airport Capital Improvement Program Design and develop guidelines, policies, and procedures Collaborate with the Airport leadership team to determine project and budget plans Manage staff efficiently to complete recurring operational functions; hire, train, set and administer performance goals and objectives Track the efficiency and effectiveness of decisions by measuring progress toward stated goals Maintain ongoing and clear communication with Airport leadership and other stakeholders Obtain stakeholder input, and build communication channels with internal and external customers Track and review actual reports against budgets Other duties as assigned Learn more about this job by reviewing the class specification on the City of Colorado Springs Class Specifications page Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or another related area. Five years of full-time, professional experience in a related field, including two years of administrator and/or supervisory experience. We value a diverse range of qualifications and experiences.
