Overview Our Accounting Manager will play a hands-on role in executing the monthly close cycle and maintaining the integrity of Bluepeak's financial records. This position is responsible for the day-to-day execution of core accounting operations—general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement support—while helping to develop and improve processes and controls. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in US GAAP, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative approach to working across the finance team. We are looking for an Accounting Manager with advanced Excel skills to provide hands-on guidance to successfully execute monthly close activities, account reconciliations, and flux analysis while leveraging Excel and AI tools to streamline and improve processes. What You Will Do Lead a timely and accurate monthly close process, including review of journal entries, accruals, and close checklists. Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are fully supported and variances are researched and resolved. Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP and corporate timelines. Perform flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement versus prior period and budget; document and communicate variances to management. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including subledger systems Calculate adjustments and prepare journal entries to correct ledger account balances. Maintain bank account reconciliations. Support fixed asset tracking, including coordination with operational teams to ensure accurate records and construction-in-progress (CIP) reporting. Maintain analysis schedules for accounting accruals and prepaid expenses. Assist in the preparation of schedules and supporting workpapers for the annual external audit and other reporting requirements. Provide guidance and support to staff accountants; assist in training and development of department members. Identify opportunities to streamline close processes and enhance controls; implement improvements using best practices. Respond to accounting inquiries from other departments in a timely and professional manner. Assist with ad hoc projects. Salary Range $98,000 - $130,000 What You Will Need BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required. CPA license required. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1-2 years in a lead or manager role. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general ledger accounting principles. Experience with ERP and other financial systems (NetSuite, Coupa, Floqast, FinQuery, Workday preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments and all levels of the organization.
