Full-Time Essential Duties and Responsibilities Define, document, and maintain proper internal controls and segregation of duties for expense approvals, purchasing, accounts payable, electronic payments, cash receipts, and check signing. Maintain responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger. Oversee accounts payable operations and vendor payments. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and liquidity requirements. Prepare monthly cash flow requirements to monitor liquidity and funding needs. Reconcile balances between unrestricted and restricted cash accounts. Reconcile investment activities and ensure proper classification among unrestricted, temporarily restricted, and permanently restricted net assets. Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations. Record payroll transactions. Coordinate annual operating and capital budget preparation. Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets. Serve as primary liaison for external audit activities and audit requests. Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital asset inventories. Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and management reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, donor restrictions, and internal control requirements. Maintain accounting policies and procedures documentation. Maintain good working relationships through effective communications between school community, various groups and outside authorities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. CPA preferred but not required. Minimum four years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization. Other Skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Experience with BlackBaud, Quickbooks and Sage Intacct a plus Experience with HRIS/payroll software Mission and Faith Commitment Support and uphold the mission, values, teachings, and traditions of the Catholic Church and contribute positively to the faith-based educational environment.
