Schedule:
Monday-Friday, approximately 40-50 hours per week; 7:00 AM-3:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:00 PM based on preference About the Opportunity We are in search of an Accounting & Operations Manager on behalf of a growing, family-owned company in the Danbury, CT area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting and administrative professional who enjoys taking ownership of the day-to-day financial operations of a business. This is an established company experiencing significant growth, with plans to continue expanding its operations and footprint nationwide. The person joining the team will play an important role in that growth, managing core accounting functions including billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll while also assisting with inventory and operational processes. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on small business environment. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) Prepare, process, and track customer billing and invoices Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections and payment follow-up Process vendor invoices, payments, and maintain accurate AP records Manage and/or coordinate employee payroll Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Perform account reconciliations and assist with general bookkeeping/accounting functions Create, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets and financial/operational reports using Microsoft Excel Assist with the company's transition to and ongoing use of ADP Maintain organized financial documentation and records Assist with inventory management, including tracking food/product orders coming into and leaving the facility Help reconcile inventory, purchasing, invoicing, and vendor records Work closely with ownership and other members of the team to improve accounting and operational processes Take on additional administrative and operational responsibilities as the company continues to grow Qualifications Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, office finance, or a similar role Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel Hands-on experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable Experience with billing and invoicing Experience processing or managing payroll Familiarity with ADP is a significant plus Inventory management, purchasing, distribution, food service, or similar operational experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines independently Comfortable working directly with company ownership in a small-business environment Reliable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities What We're Looking For The ideal candidate isn't someone who simply wants to process invoices all day.
