With a focus on quality, service, and operational excellence, Build Manager builds approximately 100 homes annually and collaborates with affiliate subcontractors such as Shell Build, Design Build, and Pool Build, Sposen Signature Home and Hyperion Title. Position Summary The Accounting Manager leads the financial operations for Build Manage Services, LLC and its affiliates. This position is responsible for overseeing the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Coordinators, managing system integration between Buildertrend and QuickBooks Enterprise, ensuring compliance with Florida Construction Lien Law, and ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation procedures as well as ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities Leadership and Oversight:

• Supervise and mentor AR and AP Coordinators, ensuring SOP adherence and KPI achievement.
• Maintain alignment between accounting practices and construction operations.

Accounts Receivable:

• Oversee invoicing and collections for: construction draws (bank-funded and cash pay), change orders, design session upgrades, allowance reconciliations.
• Ensure timely collection, interest application, and escalation of overdue accounts.
• Verify AR syncing from Buildertrend to QuickBooks Enterprise.

Accounts Payable:

• Review vendor invoices and ensure matching with POs with proper GL coding.
• Review bi-weekly payment runs and AP aging reports.
• Ensure lien waivers and compliance documentation are collected and stored before payment release.

Financial Systems Management:

• Manage the Buildertrend and QuickBooks Enterprise synchronization.
• Reconcile synced data weekly and resolve discrepancies with Controller.

Compliance and Escalation:

• Ensure compliance with Florida lien laws: NTO filings, lien waivers, claims of lien.
• Review and approve escalation paths for late payments or unresolved AP issues.
• Maintain audit logs and documentation for compliance actions.

Reporting and Communication:

• Assist Controller in preparing monthly financial summaries for leadership.
• Lead weekly accounting team meetings and coordinate cross-functional updates.
• Support external audits and ensure documentation readiness.

Qualifications Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• CPA or equivalent certification (preferred)

Experience:

• 5+ years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Residential construction or subcontractor financial management experience strongly preferred

Technical Skills:

• Expert in QuickBooks Online or Enterprise and Buildertrend
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
• Familiarity with lien laws and job costing systems

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and time-management skills
• Effectively communicate across departments and with external partners
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

$75,000.00
